Linux has no native capabilities for dealing with half-duplex block mode
terminals as a console. The 3270 console driver the UTS folks wrote
provides some basic scrolling capabilities, but it's not a normal Linux
terminal, and there's no native termcap support for it.

Running line mode 3215 consoles for Linux systems under VM, or using
EXT2TOOL to edit Linux filesystems directly.
