If you are referring to signal shutdown support, yes. We can shut down Linux guests from a CMS machine, then restart it with XAUTOLOG.

Has anyone used this in a SLES 8 environment on z-series? I was thinking that it might be a fast way to shutdown a guest for CDL backup without the backups being fuzzy and in theory then, restart and have it be exactly where it left off. Of course I'd have to figure out how to have SA/390 talk to VM to then re-ipl the guest..... but is this in theory feasible? ---------------------------------------------------------------------- For LINUX-390 subscribe / signoff / archive access instructions, send email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with the message: INFO LINUX-390 or visit http://www.marist.edu/htbin/wlvindex?LINUX-390
