In most cases, it is impossible for me to tell. I very aggressively filter my email. I just checked, and it appears that this list (unlike many others) does indeed only send a single "out of office" per person. I wonder how they do that? I'm subscribed to a number of lists and do tend to get "splattered" quite a bit. Or would if it weren't for the previously mentioned filters. The original email made it though my filters because it is not in a "standard" form (i.e. it doesn't say "out of office") However, I do maintain that it is impolite. Even if there is only a single email of this type per person, it is distributed to a LARGE audience. This costs the Marist university bandwidth, even if nothing else. If I came across as "too hard" on Tom, I will apologize. But I will stick with feeling that it is impolite do this. Especially when it can be avoided (with some work). -- John McKown Senior Systems Programmer HealthMarkets Keeping the Promise of Affordable Coverage Administrative Services Group Information Technology This message (including any attachments) contains confidential information intended for a specific individual and purpose, and its content is protected by law.
