We have used MPIO+LVM2. This lets us divide and conquer the multipath issue separate from the logical volume issue. (I had a lot of learning to do with both EVMS and MPIO, though LVM has proven to be quite straightforward.) It's an especially big deal to me to be able to separate these functions because I hope to see more sharing of plain volumes as LUNs (eg: CD in SAN space). [speaking only for myself]
