You might have run into an installer bug. Restart the installer, but use SSH as your installation method. When you sign in, make sure the QETH_LAYER2_SUPPORT='1' variable is set in your /etc/sysconfig/hardware/hwcfg-qeth* file. If not, you should be able to add it, unmount everything, and reboot from disk.
