Hi, Frank.
In order to "resize" or delete allocated disk space, you first must
delete any partitions that you may have already created on the disk. The
you can reallocate the space.
You can put Linux swap space onto a real, physical 3390, but I would
suggest that you allocate Linux swap space on a virtual disk; the
SWAPGEN exec can help you do that. Let me know if you can't locate that
on the Web.

P.S., is it as cold there in Waco as it is here in Houston now? ;-)

Well, I'm trying to play around with the partitioning, but it won't
let me resize nor delete partitions. Do I have to dedicate a 3390-3
for swap space?

Hi Frank,
When I did the installation I had to specify the mountpoint manually.
When you create the root partition, you can specify the root
mountpoint ( "/" ). I have no idea why the automatic proposal was
impossible. I didn't find it useful to look further into it.

Stuck on SLES11 install..
...I'm getting the following screen (SSH/FTP install):
Partitioning

I'm not sure what to do about the mount points. (When I did a CentOS
4.7 install, I selected automatic allocation and it did the rest,
including swap space.)
It's saying "No automatical proposal possible". Is this normal, or
did I miss something. (DASD has been Activated and Formatted.)
