I recommend keeping /root in the root file system, because that tends to be the place where a sysadmin's toolbox accumulates. /boot has to be in a non-LV file system (until someone figures out how to make it work in an LV). I normally leave it in /, but it can be a separate partition. http://linuxvm.org/Present/SHARE113/S9214mp.pdf Mark Post ---------------------------------------------------------------------- For LINUX-390 subscribe / signoff / archive access instructions, send email to [email protected] with the message: INFO LINUX-390 or visit http://www.marist.edu/htbin/wlvindex?LINUX-390
