Okay, I got most of it figured out. The re-partitioning is hidden in some
"Expert" setting. I got it configured as follows:

        /dev/dasda
32MB Swap
256MB /boot
(remainder) assigned to VOLGROUP00

        /dev/dasdb
(all) assigned to VOLGROUP00

(same for /dev/dasdc & /dev/dasdd)

Created a single Logical Volume (LogVol00), formatted and assigned to /.

Then when it comes to the installation, I get:

Error

Failure occurred during following action:
Executing fdasd for disk/dev/dasda...

System error code was -11001

/sbin/fdasd -c /tmp/liby2storagetjS7wQ/fdasd_inp '/dev/dasda':

fdasd error: Unsupported disk format
/dev/dasda is not formatted with z/OS compatible disk layout!

Ideas?

Hi, Frank.

Well, how to partition the disks and assign them mount points really
depends on what you want to do with the Linux guest. However, given that
you have 4 3390 DASD available to your guest, you might try something
like this:

1) /dev/dasda1 -- "/"
2) /dev/dasdb1 -- /"usr"
3) /dev/dasdc1 -- "/opt"
4) /dev/dasdd1 -- "/var"

Here, I've assumed that you have partitioned each DASD device to have
only one partition each.

Are each of the 4 3390 DASD the same size?
