Is there a reason that Linux can't read the volume label written by ICKDSF?
(not directed at you, Peter, but to development.) I should be able to do
what George is asking to do without needing another non-IBM, non-Red Hat
supplied tool.

1) George can't do this and enable Linux to use HyperPAV. The disks must
be full pack.
2) Since LXFMT currently doesn't support EAV volumes, it won't work in this
environment. (I don't think George is using EAV, and yes, someday LXFMT
will, but right now it can't be done.)
