Andrew develops and maintains the openSUSE build service (for all known
distributions, basically ;-) packages; I test and maintain the SLES
packages.
Neither one of us can put out an "official" Linux HA.org release, and so
we do not rely on them for our customers. We don't have control over
upstream release schedules; these are the responsibility of Alan, the
project leader. I trust that he will release a version when he deems it
necessary and appropriate and finds the time.
In particular the build service packages are more uptodate and better
built than the upstream releases. I can only recommend them.
Right now they are at essentially the same level as SLES10 SP1; we'll
likely work towards an update there soon.
