Actually. my point was exactly the opposite. There is nothing especially 
difficult about programming, or about APRS. Anyone can write an APRS 
program, if you want to, you just need to do it. If you don't want to, 
that is fine too, but don't flame those who do.

Yea, and when I presented the idea for my java APRS, and later the 
internet server, I was pressured not to do it. The difference is I stuck 
with it, and got myself accepted.

I don't feel threatened. I'm here because I am writing a new open source 
XML server. You'd have to ask the "APRS buddies" how they feel, I speak 
only for myself.
