Hello,

I was facing the same problems. I did lots of things until I
concentrated on the modules. I've to admit that I do not know much about
modules, I relied on kerneld, that always did a good job. (until
recently ;-( )

I always thought, that kerneld would "miracusly" load the modul I want,
without me careing about. My question is a bit off topic, since I'd like
to know what causes kerneld to load a module, or why my ax25 or mkiss
module was not -as expected- loaded.

I know, that I can add a "insmod mkiss" into my ax25 script (and I'll do
this), but I'd feel more secure if I'd knew a bit more about the above,
otherwise I'll step into the same trap on the next occasion.

All the best for the new year...
