Hello Thomas and others

I got the latest edition of GTK this weekend and spent a few hours looking around it.
I am rather impressed, a nice set of widgets, a good look and feel, and it doesn't
look too complex. I also tried the themes but they make GTK unstable on my system,
but the raw look and feel is fine anyway.

I go back to the UK this weekend and I hope to pick up the sources for mtrack then,
I've also decided to rename it Jtrack, the m was for Motif. In fact the extra widgets
with GTK allow me to redo the user interface and make it more flexible then the
original. I've also got to find the details of F6FBB's interface to the KCT which
would be nice to have too.

Since we have a half day holiday in Zurich, I may build the basic application shell
this afternoon before I get the actual tracking code. I have sketched out the new
windows on paper and will try to get the basics done. I really wish that I had the
mtrack source code here, I'm in a real hacking mood at the moment :-)

BTW can someone point me at where to get the (complete) two-line elements on the net ?
I need them since the last update I did on mtrack was in 1996, a little out of date I
think.

Jonathan
