Well i cant ever say i have noticed the problem to start with, on all the
machines i look after, 3 or them have scc cards i have never seen the
modules count get any higher then the count of connects + the dependancies,
ax25/netrom/bpqether, so thats 3 to start with and one for every connect,
right.? all i see is the count increase by oner per connect and decrease by
one when the stn disconnects.

So thats what i meant when i siad i can see no difference, on the otherhand
i get more netrom connects on this machine than ax25, i have checked that
as well the count is going up and down as it should per connect, on this
machine i dont have a scc card and no radios, all i use is netrom ax25 and
bpqether to transport ax25/netrom connects from internet to another
machine which has the scc card, in that machine i run 2.0.36 and i have not
noticed anything strange there either.

Now could it be that this problem has to do with using mkiss+kissattach, i
use ifconfig to up my interfaces, please dont see this as a stupid
question, there must be a reason for some folks having the problem you are
so kindly addressing, its just that it does not show up here.

I would have to get my act sorted out first before i can check that, as i
have installed other netutils for 2.3.x kernels and sommat seems to be very
different with netstat and friends.

I hope i can be of further help on this subject, i will try what you said
as soon as i get the time, at the minute i have to go and help decorate the
Xmas tree, i then get permission from the xyl to drink a bottle beer.
