I also came under the impression that this thread if hugely off-topic. If
you want to continue it, send me an E-mail and if I'm in the mood I might
answer you and Uri, in person. But I don't think I'm too much in the mood.
One should do Objectivist evanglism starting from points where the person
in front of you agrees too. From that, one can convince him of the
rest.[1]

But let's end this thread, and let the Linux-ILers be concerned with the
standard Linux-ILish stuff. Maybe this thread is Hackers-IL material. But
I think it will fade away there as well.

[1] - Objectivism claims that the whole of the proper Ethics, Politics,
etc. can be deduced from logic and the biological nature of men and women,
in a non-contradictory way. So, you should be able to start from premises
you both agree of, and eventually convince him of the rest.

But naturally, I'm not that good a philosopher, yet, so I usually end up
making false assumptions and stuff like that.
