It might be a good suggestion for everyone here:

Bezeq got a new sale ("Mivtza") - if you're going to switch to ADSL (and only 
those who are switching to ADSL) can get their Alcatel Speed Touch Home modem 
(which connect through Ethernet connection) - for 238 NIS only, instead of 
their average price (480 NIS).

So I suggest to buy (or lease, or rent) this modem and NOT to take the other 
"free" modems - most of them are cheap WinModems who do have problems - 
specially if you have an OHCI compliant USB chipset (VIA, SIS, NEC, AMD, ALI, 
and the problematic Intel 82371 chip)..

Alternativly - if you willing to have a small risk - you can buy them very 
cheaply at eBay - most of the time you won't need to replace the firmware.
