It's very easy with Alcatel. Just upload using the html gui and switch the s/w. The tricky part is finding the correct version. Mine is KHDSAA.270 now. Although there are a lot of sites and forums which target ADSL issues, dslreports.com is one the best, and there are some Israeli sites (get the links from adsl.org.il and IGLU ). I think that this topic is relevant to this list as long as Linux is the router, I.E. using pptp. Using the modem as a router (e.g. upgrading Alcatel Speed Touch Home to Pro), makes the OS using the connection transparent.
