Hi guys,
you can take a look at some of the Fire series (v440, v880) servers
from Sun. Check out anysystem.com for refurbished Sun hardware, or
ofcourse, ebay;) You can find gold there sometimes;)

Alex

Have you looked into using memcached ?
http://www.danga.com/memcached/ :
memcached is a high-performance, distributed memory object caching
system, generic in nature, but intended for use in speeding up
dynamic web applications by alleviating database load.
Danga Interactive developed memcached to enhance the speed of
LiveJournal.com, a site which was already doing 20 million+ dynamic
page views per day for 1 million users with a bunch of webservers
and a bunch of database servers. memcached dropped the database
load to almost nothing, yielding faster page load times for users,
better resource utilization, and faster access to the databases on
a memcache miss.

Amos, what is your budget for this ?
There are a few options:
SGI 1200 or SGI 2100
HP DL360G5
Dell PowerEdge 1950
IBM x3455
IBM x3550
No name Intel based boards stuff (if you're talking about
5 exits, try Data-Store - they are one and the same AFAIK
- www.datastore.co.il)
However, for a server with 32GB memory, I would go
for one of the brand names.
