hooopsss.....
hacking , cracking , and crack-king but i agree with UK that system
administrators should be aware of this fact and anybody who brings this out in
open is not necesaarily showing off , rather he may be amazed to find that
perfectly text book examples of "security holes" are still
persisting in the system. and these days u need not be an expert to do this adds
to the fact that people should be aware that such things happen.( net is full of
passwd-matching and buffer-overflow programs). one interesting deviation at this
point, password crackers use
dictionary to match words, and in india on any big system u just use a
dictionary of 200
words including manisha , kajol , ganesh , shankar , sai baba , sachin ,
pooja,ganga , jamuma
hanuman ............. and u can come up with 40 passwds in 4 minutes. same
login same passwd also constitute a good percentage usually of people in high
authority ( Directors , professors who seldom use their login for their own
purpose)
so good to bring out the subject in open. but if anybody is planning to hack any
site then i am not sending this mail .. ;o)
