Differentiated Software Solutions Pvt. Ltd. forced the electrons to say:

IIRC, this is not a feature of the ISP, but of hyperterminal, the Windows
Terminal Emulator. This is not required in Linux (except in the terminal
emulator kppp uses, where you have to click on continue).
