I agree, i too had difficluty getting my snd card
working I had posted a message fot the same
suprisingly no one replied ! looks like no one out
there has the answer!!! any way when you are short to
disk space & want more choise when it comes to
packages suse gives little option unlike redhat! but
using my old XF86Config file with modifications i was
able to get my sis 6215 working like a charm infact
the XF86_SVGA sever in suse is better when it comes to
sis i saved it & used the same when reinstalling RH
6.1 on my machine. it would be nice if some
knowledgeable person would enlighten us on Suse VS RH,
does 
Suse does it work well with intel 810 ( the one on
chip cd )
