Hi,
My Card is Creative Ensonique PCI sound card(Chipset ES1371).In my case it was exactly
the opposite
as far as Kmidi is concerned.
In Red Hat 6.1, sndconfig autodetected by sound card, but I was unable to play Midi
files.
All other files played perfectly.
In SuSE 6.3 I just uncommented the lines for my sound card and now everything just
rocks.
The midi sound is I feel much better than windows.
I will send my /etc/conf.modules files on you private mail address. That file is
nothing but
the one installed by SuSE and I have just uncommented the lines for my card to load
sound modules.
