I haven't run Linuxconf myself. Though it is shown as starting at boot up.
I'll try to turn it off. Does it run by itself ? And it's the stock
linuxconf that came with PCQ RH 6.1 I haven't upgraded to the new one they
supplied later. My adventurous spirit is limited to trying out mutt and
sendmail.

Yes and I thought that upgrading sendmail had taken care of that headache...
