Hello tarun,
Remember one thing very very very carefully.
specifying the frequencies for your monitor is a very
important step. you cannot fool around with it. you
will end up in mess. The only option is now to
reinstall Linux. Clean linux (ONLY LINUX) partitions
with some softwares like Partition magic or Ranish
Partition manager (available at
http://come.to.ranish). Then reinstall linux and enter
the frequencies after refering to your monitor's
manual.
