Hi,
I recently purchased a comp with trident AGP and on booting into
the X mode (init 5) the system used to hang or blackout. I tried many
configurations but still couln;t get the graphical interface running.
One thing that I found was that I could start the X, but as soon as I
tried to load an application into it, it hanged.
I could not find a way out and hence changed the card to S3.
I think you should contact the trident support team for this problem.
