Hi Ajay,

What I meant was LILO is in MBR, but my linux was on an extended partition ( 6.4 GB 
HDD ).
Now the problem is in MBR there is Ontrack OS(This is essential for detecting 17GB HDD 
- since
my bios does not support more than 8.4 GB HDD. )

When I run /sbin/lilo it shows :

Added Linux
Added Win*

But when I reboot the same Ontrack OS is started and LILO prompt is nowhere. So again
it is the menu from config.sys and than linux option (using loadlin).

My partition table is as follows :
