Hello:
Regarding the i810, the foll applies:
The current RHL 6.2 (zoot) i810 kernel drivers (2.2.14-12) have
problems on certain motherboards. The August PCQ CD-ROM
features the
latest RHL 6.2 kernel (2.2.16-3) and an accompanying article on
how to
install the kernel. The new kernel fixes the i810 X Windows
problem on
most mother boards and also has built in sound drivers for the
i810.
Please upgrade at the earliest.
To get the sound working add the line:
alias sound-slot-0 i810_audio to /etc/conf.modules
Test the sound config by running 'aumix'
NOTE: The OSS i810 sound driver is very very alpha. The alsa
drivers may
give you better stability (and fatures)
See http://www.exocore.com/linux/i810/ for ALSA config stuff.
