you may not be able to mount an NTFS partition w/o recompiling the
kernel. This is a very dangerous thing to do as it can thrash your NTFS
partition. I had a terrible experiance when one of my friends recompiled
my RH kernal to access my NTFS partition. So please be careful to back
up your data first.
