A small correction, NTFS read only driver is pretty stable but read write may be
dangerous. So NTFS is no problem. Also if you compile NTFS as module, no need to
recompile whole kernel. Just compile the modules...
I use NTFS regularly with Mandrake 7.1as a module. But I have kept a 300MB FAT
partition for communicationg with NT....
