oh ofcourse, the compression would not be as good as compared to when the
native mails are cat ed to a single file and then compressed. One can
rerun gzip on the compressed file, or if one wants tobe very
particular....(putting on flame shield) uncompress the lih.gz ( this will
be same as all the mails cat ed together) and recompress it. ;)

p.s. How I wish pine understood compressed folders....I know I know I
should change to mutt ;)
