I just bought Quake III arena without checking the hardware requirements
properly. :(
It insists on _hardware_ assisted openGL support. I want to
play quake on linux using quakeforge or nuq.

I thought i could atleast try it out with software emulation of openGL
support however slow it might be. Is there any library in Linux(i am not
sure about Mesa. I think it is hardware card dependent) that can help me
play without buying the card for a while?

Also, what are the most affordable 3d accelearator cards in India which
get along well with linux?

TIA,
 Sandip
