Hi

Sometime back I tried Quake III(Not sure of version) demo that was distributed
with PCQ. I have a 2MB Sis onboard display that's well supported. I have mesa
installed(Forgot version..).

My display is well supported and I believe it can support some openGL too.
However Quake was pathetically slow. It took more than 15 minutes(Yes that's
correct) to display the menu. When I hit tab to change options etc, it froze. I
waited (rather patiently) for half an hour, and then killed X. That took another
10 or so minutes to come back to command prompt.

I am better off minesweeper... :-))

 Bye
