Hi
I saw that u had copied modules to /lib/modules/2.4.0/something.
for me , i have under /lib/modules/2.4.0/kernel/drivers/char 
i810_rng.o
nvram.o
lp.o
ppdev.o
rtc.o

I presume the X job is done by i810_rng.o - Do you have it? If not its a 
better try copying that to modules if you have compiled support into kernel 
2.4, isnt it?
