hello,
I downloaded the latest mod-utils (2.4.0) package from ftp.kernel.org and
installed it.
After that I recompile my kernel (2.4) and did 'make modules' and
'make modules_install' .
Now my /lib/modules/2.4.0/ directory contains :

I got no errors during the whole process of kernel compilation et al.
Now, when I try to boot into the new kernel,
I get the first two lines of the boot message saying something like
'...booting from compressed image ...OK'
and then stops there until I reboot.

What have I forgottn to do ??

Regards,
Santanu Chatterjee.
