KDE 2 is really a memory hog. When with KDE 1, my system didn't use swap
space at all, and always there was 2-4 MB of free mem, even with a multitude
of processes running. But, KDE 2 takes up around 10-15 MB of Swapspace, just
to load, and it is slower too. And there was an error dialog often coming
up. After a day with KDE 2, I got fed up with it, and got back to KDE 1, the
one I love.

But, My woe with KPPP continues: I have to get into windows to access
internet. My linux box does recognise the modem, rings perfectly, and then
"pppd has died unexpectedly" comes up. I am trying this for two weeks, and
still not able to connect. I have tried everything. Any help will be most
welcome.

Regards,

V Suresh.
