Hi,
Probably this is not a memory issue since the machine works in 'doze. Are
you running some particular program when this happens? Does this happen
when you leave the machine idle? Are you running an APM enabled
kernel? Try disabling APM in bios and kernel (just change the kernel from
the distro CD) and see if freezing stops. If possible try to leave a
terminal with top running at one corner of the screen. Is the machine on a
network, can you login to it?
