|If your modem is still responding to AT commands you may be in luck.
|Probably ring detector opto coupler or varsity is damaged.
The modem seems to be permanently off-hook... ie., when the modem tries to
dial it gets an engaged like tone! (the tone that comes after the dial
tone)
If i unplug the phoneline and plug it back in and dial out immediately I
can hear the dialtone on the speakers and i also hear the modem
dialing(rather beeping) but nothing happens.
