hdparm -c1 -d1 -X66 -m4 -u1 -W1 -kK /dev/hda Try various permutations for the -m parameter - my throughput is maxed at -m4 it could be any power of 2 as in 2,4,8,16,32. Ofcourse if you have read the man pages -u and -m and corrupt your hard disk so dont come after me if that happens. Don't do the -kK till you are sure all the other parameters are fine.
