Rajesh it is ideN=ata66 
*ata* was left out. Heaps of apoligies are piled in your mail box. 

after this reboot and try dmesg |grep ATA and u will see a warning on the 
forced speed setting.

I changed the cable, now my hdparm -t results are at 9.75 mb/s 

What was Kingsly's results around? Should it not be around 15 mb/s ?
