dont know anything about the win pc stuff, but on a linux network one
would add the hostname in the Xaccess file. The format is the normal glob
format ie with *,? and []s eg
myhost.mydomain.com # for this particular host
myhost[1-9].mydomain.com # for myhost1 to myhost9
*.mydomain.com # you got it
!*.theredomain.com # doesnt respond to requests from
# theredomain
Requests from other hosts can be sent (i) directly to your machine or
could be sent to the broadcast address. In case of broadcast you can ask
xdm to ignore broadcast by
*.mydomain.com NO_BROADCAST

check the man page this is very un-authoritative.
