I am not sure what was given with pcq cd as I download Xfree from the ftp
site.but if it was the binary xfree download which contains the Xinstall
script then is is not specific to any distro.once you have installed the
binaries in the /usr/X11R6 dir you can run the /usr/X11R6/bin/XFree86
executable to start the server.to configure the server automatically type
/usr/X11R6/bin/XFree86 -configure to autogenerate the ~/XF86Config.new
file.tweak this file and copy it to /etc/X11 to start X server.
if you get an error like unable to allocate gart memory then the kernel does
not support agp i180 cards.

I had debian stock kernel 2.2.18. When I tried to do .Xinstall.sh from
PCQ CD, I couldn't get X running. Is the PCQ given Xfree4.0.2 meant for
RH6.2 only. I didn't see sny XFree86 file also. I used all defaults.
