What he'd gain is the knowledge that outlook - and all variants thereof - are
a menace to security on your desktop.  Netscape is little better - thanks to
its rather easy crashablity.  Something like Eudora Lite / Eudora Pro 3.x
(the 4.x and 5.x versions suck bad) / Pegasus Mail etc would be the safest.

Safest, that is, if you don't want PC-PINE or Mutt compiled using the cygwin
libraries :)  In case I ever have to get stuck in a windows shop, that'll be
my refuge ...
