Ok, Linuxconf is one of those things that looks easy, but works on just
the wrong rulesets. It will basically use a very old mc file to generate
your sendmail rulesets, and that converts sendmail into an open relay.
You can change the mc file, but it is easier to just learn to use the
right mc file and m4 sendmail.mc > sendmail.cf manually.
It will mess up your carefully made config files, remove all comments
and reformat them so you have no idea of what is happening.
Linuxconf will reconfigure stuff, even when it should not, just because
it wants to (just like Windows).
If you want a pretty interface, I suggest using webmin, from webmin.com

Otherwise use your favorite $(TEXT_EDITOR) to create the required config
files, and you get to learn a lot more that way too.
Note that a word processor should not be used.
