Ummm, this is usually a function of the mailserver ( mailserver != MTA)
 concerned.

Not necessarily. As far as I am cpncerned, suseconfig = linuxconf.
Might as well not exist.

You don't need it. Man mv, man ln.

This is bad.

Anything that runs any service by default is bad. I suggest connectiva.

Bad again

Any system is as good as its administrator. In the hands of a bad
administrator, even OpenBSd will be cracked (BTW, its cracked, not
hacked).

SuSE is strong in Europe. Search in languages other than English and you
will find your answers.

Dunno, I don't use up2date either. wget rocks.

Ummm, I use the same software as the SuSE email server uses, although I
use it on deadrat and on my FreeBSD workstation. You don't *buy* the
mailserver, you buy support from SuSE, and that is rock solid.
You can bitch all you want about their lack of response to mails sent to
their secure address, but their support is good.

Anyway, none of the reasons that you have given are valid for not
choosing or choosing SuSE, or any other distro for that matter.

I would recommend Immunix over deadrat any day, and where security is
concerned, OpenBSD in the hands of a paranoid admin who knows his stuff
on it. Hell, in the hands of a very good admin, I might trust NT even,
but in the hands of an incompetent admin, I will not trust even trusted
solaris|hpux|unix of choice.

Hope this helps.
No flames on this please, this is an attempt to quell a my distro is
better than yours thread.
