Was wondering how to use man-pages of Debian while in RH, just for extended reading . What should be my combination of Debain version for my currently insatlled RH6.2 ? >The distro wrapper also takes care of partition, package selection, >configuration etc. So why are you calling it a wrapper, when actually it is thoroughly integrated with the core system? In my early days, LIH had answered my query that Linux OS can not be separated in diff parts. The base kernel and the various modules, all make a complete system, and not otherwise. >>In short, Mukund, kindly elaborate . >You can create your own distro by copying certain files to a separate >partition. and boot it with loadlin. Although I am not going to build my own distro immideately, still I would like to know the info to fill-in-the-gaps of my linux knowledge. What man page should I consult for these "certain files" ? ==================================================== Date: Tue, 8 Jan 2002 06:35:01 +0530 From: USM Bish <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> >>On Tue, Jan 08, 2002 at 12:53:41PM +0530, newlxuser wrote: >> Date: Sat, 5 Jan 2002 12:03:36 +0530 ... >> I had installed RH6.2 in a office, some-time back. It did solved my problem. >Note: settings of local alias takes precedence over path >There is nothing technical in above. Pure logic.
