I think he was talking about windows not being able to use the driver
even though it was present. I've had the same problems. X runs at
1024x768, but windows can't handle it.

Let the installer do the partitioning for you. That is an option you
know? You can let it be done automatically.

Mine does. My desktop is far far far more usable than any other
desktop. Not just for me, but for the absolute newbie as well. It
looks good too.
