Badmaash! Ruthless! [senti!]
I feel like really thrashing you. We have been in touch for pretty much
long time now, considering the transient nature of the software world.
More than a month.
Ek problem hain. I have already posted it in detail... what to do?
I have the S3 Trio 3d / 2x 8 MB AGP [86C268 chipset, as written on the
board.] card with me. Can you help me configure it? XF86Setup hangs when
trying to test the configuration. Manual Xconfigurator can generate a
configfile which I have tweaked a thousand times to leave only the
recommended modelines in the file. All to no avail... I am using the
3.3.5 SVGA server for this which is recommended accelerated server.
Highly decelerated though
the salient points are these...
1. The server starts but is infinitely slow. 'Enlightenment starting'
message takes 15 minutes to paint.
2. Machine hangs after this. Or becomes dead-slow. I was unable to tell
the difference.
3. Can't c-a-F[n] from there. Can't c-a-del from there. Have to turn-off
and I know how bad that is. So I wince in pain.
4. startx --probeonly tells something like 'PCI card' while detecting
the card. BUT MAN,
IT IS MOUNTED ON THE AGP SLOT! At least the 'S3 Trio 3D 2X ' is
correctly detencted. Can anyone please help? Those on the list, _PLEASE_
kuchh karo na! Kaafi problem hain idhar, X chal hi nahin raha hain...
Rohit
