Ok Rohit, I suppose you must be using the stock RH 6.0 or RH 6.1 kernel.
Now add this line to your /etc/lilo.conf
vga=791 /* this gives you 16bit 1024x768 resolution, for more options check out
the framebuffer HOWTO */
and run lilo
and then add these line to your XF86Config file

BTW 8K means cut ;-)
and then create a symblolic of your /etc/X11/X to /usr/X11R6/bin/XF86_FBDev
BTW I assume that you have installed the XF86_FBdev RPM.
That's all dude and you should be having any damn VESA 2.0 COmpliant card
running X at 1024x768 resolution with 16-bit Color .
You can change the option of Depth to get whatever bit color you may want!
depending on the
vga=xxx option.
