Actually, it depends on your system. The rc.M script does the following:
1. checks to see if rc.inet1 and rc.inet2 exist.
2. if they do, it runs them. In this case, rc.inet2 starts
syslogd and klogd .
3. if they don't, it starts syslogd and klogd itself.
