I use a LAN here and needless to say everyone else runs windows :) I'm
interested in sharing my files with others over the network. I have setup a
samba server reading the incomprhensible documentation :) and believe it or not
actually got it working. My friends can access my files! My problem is this:
they cannot actually see my computer in network neighbourhood, they actually
have to type my computer name at the top up to get access to it. I have
checked that my workgroup is correct. Anyone got any ideas on how to make my
computer appear? My thanks in advance again.
And thanks to those who told me how to auto startup programs.
